FAQs about marketing for dental practices
Do I need to prepare or provide anything besides my URL for the audit?
Nope! Just the basics like your website address and how to send you the results. If you have specific worries (like “I think my site is slow” or “I’m not showing on Google for X”), you can mention those, and we’ll be sure to address them. But it’s not required.
Our tools and expertise will allow us to evaluate your site independently. We may crawl through your site pages, run speed tests, etc.—all behind the scenes. If your site has any password-protected areas or an unusual structure, letting us know can help, but in most cases, public access is enough for the audit. So just send us the URL and relax—we’ll take it from there.
What format will the audit results be in, and will I understand it if I’m not tech-savvy?
We deliver the audit report usually as a PDF document and a link to a digital report via email. It will be organised into sections matching what we listed above (Design, SEO, etc.). We make it visual and clear—for instance, we might include a screenshot of your site with annotations like “This part is great ->” and “Consider changing this ->” to illustrate points. We either avoid technical terms or explain them in plain English. For example, instead of saying “Your H1 tag is missing the target keyword”, we’d say “The main headline on your homepage doesn’t include a phrase like ‘dentist in London’ —adding that can help Google understand your location and service better.”
We prioritise actionable recommendations, often in a bullet list. If something is critical, we’ll mark it as such; if something is a nice-to-have improvement, we’ll note that too. Our goal is that you, as a dental professional or practice manager, can read the audit report and easily understand the issues and opportunities – without needing a marketing degree. And of course, if anything is unclear, we’d be happy to clarify.
Will you also include a proposal or quote for services with the audit?
The audit itself is separate and non-obligatory. We focus on analysis and recommendations, not sales. However, it is accompanied by a friendly email from our creative director offering to discuss the findings. If the audit uncovers multiple areas for improvement, we might outline how our services could help address them, but not in a hard-sell way, more like “We noticed X, Y, Z. These are things our team can certainly assist with if you need help.”
We won’t include pricing in the audit report out of the blue. If, after seeing the audit, you’re interested in what it would cost for us to help implement fixes or ongoing marketing, we’d prepare a bespoke proposal for you.
In short: audit first, and then, only if requested or appropriate, a proposal. We respect that the audit is a valuable tool for you, and you’re free to take it and do as you wish. That said, many who get the audit do ask, “So, what would it take to fix these issues or get a full marketing plan?”—and we’ll be ready to answer that in a separate discussion.
If my website was made by another agency, will the audit still be useful?
Definitely. The audit is about the performance and effectiveness of your site, regardless of who built it. In fact, if another dental design agency made it and perhaps isn’t proactive in optimising it now, our audit could highlight things they missed.
You can then decide to have them implement changes, have us do it, or have any party you trust do it. The audit gives you a third-party perspective. We’ve had clients share our audit with their web developer to get issues fixed, which is completely fine with us (we actually take it as a compliment that they trusted our analysis).
Of course, if you feel the need to switch to a new web management or marketing team down the line, we’d be happy to discuss being that team. But if you’re happy with your existing vendor except for some blind spots, the audit can serve as a helpful checklist for them to improve your website. It’s a win-win: getting a better website is our ultimate aim.
My website is very outdated. Will the audit still provide insights?
Yes. If it’s small, there’s usually even more opportunity to expand or optimise. We won’t judge the aesthetics—we’re here to help. In fact, older or very basic sites often have the most to gain from an audit. We might find fundamental issues (like not being mobile-friendly, missing meta tags, or just not enough content) that are generally straightforward to fix or improve with a significant impact.
Don’t worry about the state of your site—we’ve seen it all and approach every audit with enthusiasm to improve things. On the flip side, if your site is large (like dozens of pages) and you worry the audit won’t cover it all, we will do our best to sample across sections and identify representative issues. We may not read every single blog post in detail, but we’ll check core pages and overall structure. If needed, we might focus on key areas (like the main service pages, etc.).
In both cases—small or large site—the audit can adapt, and we can always address follow-up questions if you have them. Think of it as a personalised service; we’re not just running an automated scan and sending a cryptic report. Our experts personally review your site, so they’ll tailor the analysis to its size and state. So even if your site is just one page or ten years old, go ahead and request the free website audit—you likely stand to gain a lot of clarity from it.
